Use the official lost-device service, secure your accounts and keep report details. Device blocking is different from tracking or guaranteed recovery.

Official service: Sanchar Saathi — Department of Telecommunications. IndiaDigital is independent. Enter identifiers, credentials and OTPs only on the authority’s service.

Take it step by step

  1. Contact your mobile operator and use verified account-security routes for accounts exposed by the lost phone.
  2. Read the official CEIR lost-device procedure, including its current police-report, identity and contact requirements.
  3. Collect the device identifiers and purchase evidence you already have. Do not obtain an IMEI from an unrelated device or invented record.
  4. Submit the blocking request through the official service and retain its request ID and acknowledgement.
  5. Use the official status route. If the phone is recovered, follow the official unblocking procedure and verify your accounts before using it again.
A CONCRETE EXAMPLE

A situation to try.

A person has a purchase invoice but no phone access. They should follow the official lost-device requirements and operator process, not pay a site promising live tracking from a phone number.

Use the tool’s synthetic example first where available. The example here explains a decision; it is not a reported benchmark result.

Before you call it done.

  • Use identifiers for the actual lost device.
  • Keep the report and request ID private.
  • Follow the official recovery/unblocking procedure.

Know the limits.

CEIR blocking is not a public location-tracking service or a recovery guarantee. IndiaDigital cannot locate a person or device, submit a block or bypass a carrier’s verification.
