PRACTICAL GUIDE

Prepare files for application portal limits

Get the required dimensions, format and size right together. Compression alone cannot fix a wrong aspect ratio.

Open Photo and signature size optimizer ↗

Take it step by step

  1. Copy the portal’s current requirements into a checklist.
  2. Crop to the required aspect ratio before resizing.
  3. Use photo/signature sizing and inspect actual output bytes.
  4. Download, reopen and confirm the portal preview before final submission.
A CONCRETE EXAMPLE

A situation to try.

If the form requests a 300 × 100 pixel signature, create a canvas with that ratio. Do not squeeze a taller signature until its handwriting looks distorted.

Use the tool’s synthetic example first where available. The example here explains a decision; it is not a reported benchmark result.

Before you call it done.

  • Check width and height in pixels.
  • Check the allowed format and byte limit.
  • Keep the face or signature complete.

Know the limits.

Requirements vary by portal and can change. IndiaDigital does not claim one photo template works for every application.

This tool’s current boundary: Review the output before using it. Your input remains on this device.

Evidence and scope

Technical source guidance and task-specific output checks. These do not establish that every file, browser or device passes.

Use the checks above on your own exported result. A source explains the format or mechanism; it is not proof that this export preserved every feature.
